CALL TO ORDER

“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” 1 Corinthians 14:33

When it comes to having things in order, it often seems like the task is never done. There is laundry to be folded, kids to carpool, bathrooms to clean, dinner to make, and the list goes on and on. Twenty-four hours in the day just isn’t enough sometimes! I am often amazed when reminded that God created the entire Earth in just one week. What a task that had to be!

It can be very frustrating when things get out of order in our lives. You make dinner plans and your spouse calls home to say he will be late, your kids forget to remind you about the game that night, your boss moves a deadline up from two weeks to two days… the result: a life of disorder!

How comforting to know that God is a God of order. When things don’t make sense, He does! I love that about God. He is in perfect control of our lives. He desires to remove that feeling of disorder and replace it with total peace… peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Embrace the disorder of the day, smile, and trust Him!

Prayer:
Dear Lord, I am so thankful that when my life is out of order, You are in complete control. Help me to trust You in the middle of my chaos and embrace Your peace. Amen.
