A Little Bit of Morning

“But I cry to you for help: O Lord, in the morning my prayer comes before you.” Psalm 88:13

While reading this passage of Scripture, I am reminded of the line in a beautiful song by Christian music artists, Phillips, Craig and Dean that says, “…Wipe the pain from your eyes, there’s a little bit of morning outside.” One member of the group tells the story behind the song - his young daughter being very eager to rise out of bed. Extremely early one morning, she comes in to her father’s bedroom, wakes him up and says, “Hurry daddy, there is a little bit of morning outside…time to get up!” How precious the mind of a child.

Think about it…God’s mercy is available to you, brand new, at the beginning of every day. And, He wants to meet with you! His love never fails. He wants to listen to your prayers and meet with you in the morning. Early. Everyday.

Are you feeling distant from God? Do you need more of Him? We all do. Beloved sister, God knows what you are feeling. Claim His promise of love, wipe away the tears, and wake up to meet with Him in the “little bit of morning outside!” You’ll be glad you did!

Prayer:
Dear Lord, I am so thankful to know that your love and mercy is available at the dawn of every new day. Help me to rest assured that your compassion will never fail me and that your faithfulness to me is greater than I can ever imagine. Because of You, I have hope! Amen.
