The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him.... Deuteronomy 33:12

Have you ever been in a hurry and given Cheerios in a bag to your children for breakfast? Or wished that someone had given you Cheerios in a bag for breakfast because its now 2:00 p.m. and your tummy is starting to break all sound barriers with gurgle noises? Sometimes life comes at you so fast it seems as if it exceeds the speed of light and it is just impossible to slow down. As extraordinary women seeking to live out our God-given dreams on a daily basis, we need to grant ourselves permission to take a break sometimes and just breathe. Take a moment and rest in the promise the Lord gave to Benjamin. The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him, who shelters him all the day long, and he shall dwell (or rest) between His shoulders (Deuteronomy 33:12). In verse 27, the Lord says, The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are his everlasting arms.... Take a mental picture of Gods arms wrapped around you as his daughter and soak in the warmth of His love. It is my prayer that you will find rest from the Cheerios in a bag kind of day!
Dear Lord, I am so glad that I can find rest in you. Thank you for being my daily place of rest and comfort. Help me to slow down, be still, and know that you are my precious God. Amen.
