But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 3:18

We are to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. If we keep our lives focused on those two things, we will continually walk close to God our Savior. But maybe you’re saying, How do I do that? Growing in Gods grace means you appreciate and enjoy living in His favor. You are constantly surrounded by His blessings and boundless goodness. You must understand and appreciate these gifts. And, above all, you have been given the free gift of salvation. By growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, you are continually coming to know Him better by reading the Word, talking to Him in prayer, and seeking and yielding to His plan for you. As you grow in Him, you will become like Him-living for the sake of others (not yourself) and acting in kindness and compassion. The ending to Peters letter is a blessing and prayer for you. May it truly become part of your life. After all, you are who you spend time with!
Prayer
Dear Lord, show me the way to live and grow in Your grace. Increase my knowledge of You and of Your Son. Make me yearn for a life lived with a focus on You. I pray this all in Christs name. Amen.
