And I will teach you the way that is good and right. 1 Samuel 12:20-24

Both of our children, Megan and Zach, played sports growing up. Whether it is sports, music, or ballet, every Mom knows the value of a good coach. And every Mom and Dad in the world knows the impact of a bad coach. Stand on the sidelines of any game and you will hear the outcry of the parents. Samuel was a great prophet... I like to see him as a great coach. His responsibility was to make sure the people were in the way of the Lord. He prayed for them and his outcome was specific-to know God and make Him known. I don’t know about your kids, but if mine are left to themselves they quickly become wayward. Who is speaking into your life right now? Do you have a godly mentor? Preferably an older, wiser woman... a Titus 2 woman who will speak the truth and supply encouragement in your life. If you don’t have a mentor, ask God today to bring someone you can trust, someone who can coach you on being in the way of the Lord every day.
Prayer
Fill me with your loving kindness, Lord, so that I can show kindness to others. Amen.
