You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6

Have you ever been so distracted by what you wanted that you failed to recognize the strengths, abilities, and help you have through Jesus Christ? A friend of mine was a nanny for a disabled child for several years. I remember a particular phase she spoke of in which the boy constantly wanted to put together Legos. However, due to his lack of motor skills, it was extremely difficult for him to assemble even the simplest structure. He became overwhelmingly frustrated. But he wanted to do it alone. It broke her heart to see him cry, not understanding that all he needed to do was ask and she could help him put the pieces together. When I reflect on this childs frustration in putting together LegoƆ pieces, I cannot help but think of the numerous times in my own life in which I have completely failed to accept Gods help in piecing things together. Admit when you need help. At the right time, God will offer it. He will provide... just ask!
Prayer
Almighty God, so often I struggle to do things on my own rather than calling out to You for Your help. Forgive me. Help my confidence in You to grow so I will readily call out to You for Your loving, helping hand. Amen.
