“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24
Ever wish you had a rechargeable battery that would alert you when your motivation is low? Wouldn’t it be nice? Never again to have to worry about complacency or apathy setting in to destroy God’s plan for your life!
It’s so easy to become complacent and feel stuck in the day-to-day routine of life. I believe evil enjoys it when we feel apathetic and inactive. It’s Satan’s goal to get us to feel that way. For many women, maybe even you, the daily work you do is done without any encouragement, acknowledgment, or words of thanks.
I’m glad the Lord understands our struggle with apathy. In His Word, He encourages us to continue in the work He has for each of us. Someday we’ll understand and see clearly God’s purpose for us… and the inheritance He has waiting in heaven! When you don’t feel like helping someone… do it anyway. When you don’t feel like reading the Bible… do it anyway. Choose to serve Him. You’ll be glad you did!
