“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:1-2

Did you know that as daughters of God, we are “fire-proof?” Yes, that’s right, no need for fire alarms that make an excruciating continual beeping noise when the battery needs changing. And no need for flame-retardant PJ’s either! We are 100% flame resistant!

Well, “flame resistant” in the spiritual sense. Think of the fires you are under even now…pressures at work, managing your home, taking care of the kids, loss of a loved one, financial strain, marital difficulties. When it comes to the spiritual part of your being however, there is nothing that can separate you from God and his loving care over you. God promises that He will walk with you every step of the way no matter what you are going through. You may not always feel as if He is there or that He really cares. Feelings come and go, but the truth of God’s Word and His character are unchanging. Although you may feel intense pain emotionally, you can rest in the truth of God’s Word that says you will not be consumed by your circumstance and you CAN overcome through Christ
