"He who walks in integrity walks securely." Proverbs 10:9 nkjv

Integrity. Character. Honesty. Living clean.

In a world filled with insider trading problems, steroid abuse in sports, infidelity in our marriages, tax evasion and a myriad of other headline grabbing flaws, those words listed above seem completely foreign in our society.

Our kids today are getting mixed up by the wild messages that bombard them daily. God wants you to teach His commandments to your children, by words and by example. To talk about God and His commands literally all the time--when sitting, walking, lying down, and getting up. Deuteronomy 6:7 challenges parents to make God’s Word a part of every aspect of daily living, even when society fails us. Such demonstrations make it clear to your kids that the Word of God has authority over every area of your life and theirs. Moms, I know you give your children much…but the greatest gift you can give is a godly heritage.

It’s still all about integrity, character, honesty, and living clean—and by the way, when you’re wrong, admitting it and getting it right again. Live up and walk in your integrity. When you do, your kids will follow you to the top.

Prayer
Dear Lord and Father. Give me the courage to openly discuss with my children Your words and commandments and the way You want us to live. Guide me as I live out an example of holy living for them. Make every word and action in my day be a testimony of You. Amen.
