"Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." John 17:3
The verse for today is part of a prayer that Jesus prayed to God the Father after His last supper with His disciples. Moments prior to His arrest, we see Jesus in the garden, praying for us…praying for you! His primary concern was that we would know that He is the way to eternal life! Oh, what a beautiful kind of love!
Jesus still prays for you today! “… Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us (Rom. 8:34). He is praying for you!
Have you ever felt like your prayers only reach to the ceiling? Does it seem that God is distant… a far away, heavenly diety that cannot be reached? Have you ever felt like no one cares… no one understands? God’s dream is that you would know how much He loves you and that Jesus is praying for you right now! “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalms 46:1). He is always there… always praying… always interceding on your behalf. Be encouraged today… you are loved and prayed for!
