"But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life." Romans 6:22 NLT
Alcoholism. Abortion. Anorexia. Bulimia. Depression. Infertility. Addiction. Promiscuity. Marital infidelity. Problems in life are inevitable. That’s not the issue. Rather it’s what we do with the problems that separate the extraordinary from the ordinary women of the world. Some people fight through the pain. Others submit to its devastating effects of shame and guilt. Lingering shame from your past will keep you in bondage. Remember, your past is not your past if it’s effecting your present.
But, Christ wants you free. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” (Gal. 5:1).
God’s willingness to redeem pain is infinite. Let Him redeem yours. Your healing may well lead to some of the most meaningful relationships you’ll ever enjoy.
Pray for freedom. Pour out your heart to Him. Ask him specifically to release you from the burden you’re carrying. And trust that He will be faithful to respond to your request.
