"Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord" Psalm 34:11
A thunderous crash, a booming thud, a screeching howl, and the kids are at it again. The playroom brightly decorated has been transformed into a war zone of exasperation and vexation between siblings. Sound familiar?
I would imagine every parent who has more than one child could describe similar stories. In fact, if you have siblings, you could probably relate your own accounts from childhood skirmishes. Disagreements between children are typical, integral even to their ability to develop skills for resolving conflict. But what happens when those skills are not taught and refined within their character development?
No price tag can be placed on the value of equipping your children with the tools to make positive choices, loving each other, and resolving conflict successfully and biblically. As a parent, you are reproducing not only biologically, but experientially.
Teaching the leaders of tomorrow is a high calling and honor. Even if you don't have children in your life, there is always someone watching what you do. Opportunities to teach others about the God you serve are all around you. Learn to see them...be courageous and teach them the way!
