"Have we not all one Father? Did not one God create us?" Malachi 2:10
My father passed away several years ago after a long battle with cancer. He died far too young. I still miss him...a lot. But, I have many wonderful memories of him. He loved me and really cared for me. He was so kind to me. I know that he helped make me who I am today. That’s what made it so difficult in losing him too!
Many of you may also have wonderful memories of your father. Perhaps he was a great dad who played with you, listened to your jokes, attended your class plays and piano recitals, splurged on letting you buy just the perfect dress for a special occasion, cheered you up and cheered you on through the variety of moments in your life.
But then again, some of you don’t have such joyful remembrances for a variety of reasons. Whether or not you had a father’s love here on earth, we all have God the Father’s love from above.
He is the ultimate father—your "Dream Dad." He is the father who will always love you when your earthly father ceases to or when his love, no matter how wonderful, is just not enough to satisfy. God’s love is pure, boundless, and perfect. His dream for you is that you willingly open your heart and joyfully except His endless love.
Your Heavenly Father loves you. Wants to embrace you. Curl up in His arms. Emrace Him. He longs to be close to you!
