“Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

– Luke 12:7 (NIV)

Daily Meditation: Luke 12:22-32, Psalm 23

God always takes care of us, even in the little things. You’ve seen it. I’ve seen it. And I used to wonder why he cared. Why would God who made the universe be concerned about the little things in our lives that we could really pretty easily get along without?

  •   It’s been a gloomy day… and he paints the sky with a beautiful sunset.
  •   We desperately need nice weather for an outdoor event… and the rain holds off.
  •   The only parking spot at the dark mall… is right under the lamp.
  •   We are feeling down… and we hear our phone chirp; a friend texts us the exact words we need to read.

Scripture makes it plain that “the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” I believe the reason God cares about the little things is because we care about them. If it’s important to us, it’s important to him; not as a sign that we are in control, but rather as a sign that he is. I am constantly in awe.

“No matter how busy you are, you must take time to make the other person feel important.”

Mary Kay Ash
